About Us

About Us …

Distributed Engineering has been developing DE Tower software since 2014. Distributed Engineering is an Engineering Consulting Company with a focus on telecommunication and broadcast towers and also other vertical structures such wind turbine towers and flagpoles. The main office is in London, England and we have a team of Software Developers and Structural Engineers working from our offices in Bucharest, Romania and Islamabad, Pakistan.

The founder of the Company is Florin Arsene. Florin is a Licensed Structural Engineer in California and Washington and holds Professional Engineering licenses in several other US States, Canadian provinces and Australia. Florin has more than 27 years of leading teams developing tower analysis and design software.

Distributed Engineering is playing an active role in the Tower Engineering community, participates actively in the tower design standards committee and is an active participant to the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS), Working Group 4: Technical Expert Group on Masts and Towers  https://iass-structures.org/WG04-Public.

Design Standards

The software has the most comprehensive list of design standards covering North America, Europe and Australia. It is the first tower analysis software that have implemented the Eurocodes (EN 1991-1-4 and EN 1993-3-1) and National Annexes for 14 countries.

Member Capacities

When choosing a member size, compression, tension and connection capacities are displayed. Slenderness ratios and slenderness ratio coefficients together with the relevant code reference are displayed.

Design Output Data

The results of the analysis are fully traceable. Intermediate results such as wind speeds and wind pressures distribution, wind resistances, natural frequencies, tower weights are available for examination.

Member Assessment Report

After the tower analysis is completed, for each tower member maximum compression and tension loads are displayed together with the load combination that gave the maximum load. These loads are compared to the member capacities and assessment ratios are shown in tabular and graphical format.
